The <a href=\"https:\/\/stockchase.com\/company\/view\/5822\/TGOD-T\">Green Organic Dutchman<\/a> jumped nearly 22%, <a href=\"https:\/\/stockchase.com\/company\/view\/4811\/WEED-T\">Canopy<\/a> leapt 15.66% and <a href=\"https:\/\/stockchase.com\/company\/view\/5389\/ACB-T\">Aurora<\/a> rose 12.54%, followed by a slew of other weed stocks. The American hearings are throwing the cannabis sector a lifeline after a brutal year to date.<\/p>\n<p>South of the border, trading was less rosy as New York indices declined on fresh trade war <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2019\/11\/20\/markets-more-fearful-about-trade-war-but-still-see-chance-for-deal.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">worries<\/a>. On Tuesday, Trump announced he would raise tariffs on China if a deal wasn&#8217;t signed. Wednesday&#8217;s sell-off was modest, at less than half a percent, which suggests that American investors still hold out some hope of a phase one deal and the rollback of American tariffs.<\/p>\n<p>One bright spot was <a href=\"https:\/\/stockchase.com\/company\/view\/1227\/TGT-N\">Target<\/a> which shot up over 14%. For the second straight quarter, Target crushed analyst <a href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/news\/target-earnings-3q-114823543.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">expectations<\/a> in earnings, sales and gross-profit margins. Moreover, Target helped redeem the retail sector after it was hammered Tuesday with bad reports from <a href=\"https:\/\/stockchase.com\/company\/view\/567\/HD-N\">Home Depot<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/stockchase.com\/company\/view\/1710\/KSS-N\">Kohl<\/a>&#8216;s.
