As America and China draft phase one of their trade agreement, attention has shifted to good, ole-fashioned data. U.S. retail <a href=\"https:\/\/www.census.gov\/retail\/marts\/www\/marts_current.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sales<\/a> declined 0.3% in September, posting the first drop in seven months. More attention was paid to <a href=\"https:\/\/stockchase.com\/company\/view\/21\/ADBE-Q\">Adobe<\/a> dropping after a Citi analyst <a href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/m\/d949afd3-bbb8-304e-b290-f8f06901a383\/adobe-stock-is-sliding-as.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">downgraded<\/a> the stock. However, Adobe climbed after the initial strong sell-off to close 2.39% lower.<\/p>\n<p>In Toronto, <a href=\"https:\/\/stockchase.com\/company\/view\/5737\/HEXO-T\">Hexo<\/a> fired the first salvo at black-market weed sellers by slashing the price of its <a href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/news\/hexo-aims-disrupt-illicit-cannabis-122709072.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cannabis<\/a> to $4.49 per gram, on par with street prices which are currently half the price of legal chronic. The bold news didn&#8217;t help the stock on Wednesday, which closed down 3.52%. The news arrives on the eve of the first <a href=\"https:\/\/stockchase.com\/discover\/one-year-of-cannabis-investing\/\">anniversary<\/a> of legal cannabis in Canada. Another surprise on Wednesday, albeit more positive, came from <a href=\"https:\/\/stockchase.com\/company\/view\/1920\/SIS-T\">Savaria<\/a> which installs wheelchair lifts in homes of seniors. Savaria jumped 3.39% to $12.81.<\/p>\n<p>The biggest news of the day came after hours with <a href=\"https:\/\/stockchase.com\/company\/view\/2191\/NFLX-Q\">Netflix<\/a> releasing <a href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/news\/netflix-adds-more-expected-subscribers-200754625.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">earnings<\/a>. The streaming giant beat earnings and subscription forecasts. Though it rose 0.71% Wednesday, minutes after the report Netflix rocketed another 10%.
