The long-term chart shows a strong upward trend from early 2013. Now consolidating. Thinks the stock can get to $30. Also pays a pretty nice dividend of 4.5%.

Very bullish on natural gas prices, especially over the medium to longer term. Eventually companies like this will get the benefit of much higher commodity pricing as we start to take our gas and send it to other parts of the world through LNG. This company has done a good job of increasing production. Management has done a good job of turning this business around.

This is a solid name. Management has done an awesome job of deleveraging over the past couple of years and refocusing their drilling efforts. Likes that 50% of their production is US, Bakken and then Marcellus. Marcellus rates have been getting better over time, just as a lot of operators have. Do have some pricing risks, which they have been open about. Thinks that 30%-40% of their gas is exposed to the blowout in the basis differential. He saw the upside in their Bakken acreage. Stock has been trading at it really big discount, but over time that differential has narrowed. Feels the real easy money has been made. As a long-term investor looking for yield, it is a very solid name.

Likes it. Got downgraded by RBC because it has done so well. This is the best reason to downgrade a stock. Their execution is good. There are coming catalysts. He is waiting for it to sell off a little more and then he is going to buy it.

If you are looking for a nice blend of dividends and a bit of growth, this company would be a wise choice. Probably one of the longest income trusts out there, a couple of decades. Nice blend of gas and oil. Still cheap versus its peers and has the potential to give you low double-digit total returns annually over the next couple of years.

Not a cheap stock, but probably deservedly so because they have been executing very well in both Canada and the US. They are also continuing to develop their long-term resource plays. Dividend of 4.5% is sustainable.

Doesn’t know how receptive they would be to increasing the dividend until they are confident higher gas prices are here to stay. It comes down to the durability of the recovery in gas.

Doesn’t think you would do too bad holding this but you might consider selling half of it here and looking at something else such as Suncor (SU-T) or AltaGas (ALA-T). (See Top Picks.)

Trading cheaper than their peers. Trading at an EBITDA to adjusted cash flow of about 5.7% and their peers are at 7.9%. Had 4 quarters in a row of real impressive operations, improved asset concentration and spending discipline. Payout ratios are coming down. Very low debt levels.

Huge winner last year. An example of how a stock can be unfairly punished and unfairly cheap and where you need people’s perception to change. 25% of their production is in the US Bakken play so are not exposed to as much differentials. About 25% of production in the US Marcellus play, so are not as exposed as much to the basis, the difference between Canadian and US natural gas. Still trading at a discount to some of its peers. Trading at around 6 times and pays a pretty healthy dividend. However, payout ratio is about 100%, so thinks they are using a little debt to pay some of the dividend. You could be looking at 15%-20% upside this year.

Had a great run this year. Still off of its highs of around $33, so if you’ve held it for a while, you are either possibly looking for a place to get out or you become a very long, long term investor. He would look on a shorter-term for the trend line to break. The whole sector is weak today and you can’t tell how it is going to run until we get into February. There is good support coming in the next couple of weeks. If it gets weak before the seasonal period gets started, he would look for the $17 to hold. Quite often you get your weakest just before a new run starts in a sector.

Lots of news in the last little while and had a nice little move up. Prefers others. But if you want a yield with little growth, this is okay.
