Have a patented process to make high-grade alumina from clays in Québec. There is huge demand for alumina both from aluminum producers and for high purity alumina.. Has its risks. No sales or earnings yet. They keep moving forward and it is an interesting company.

Want to turn clay into alumina. Have been able to do it in small batches and have been increasing the size of the batches. Good story long-term. There could be some hiccups getting into full-scale production. Execution risk. Still a concept stock.

New technology for cheaply extracting aluminum. Successful on a small pilot scale and the next critical step is to do it on an industrial scale. Almost too good to be true. Too risky for him at this time.

(A Top Pick Apr 29/11. Down 18.16%.) New way of producing aluminum from clay. Located in Quebec. Norwegian company has done some more testing on their technology with good results. Will be able to produce aluminum in a very cost-effective way. At a full run, the plant can produce about $70 million.

Startlingly exciting process for getting aluminum out of clay in Quebec. It is always difficult to know that a process fully works. Another challenge is that they have to get people to convert to this aluminum.

Patented technology lets them produce alumina out of clay deposits. At different PH levels, different elements precipitate. Testing the technology to produce dysprosium and other metals. Still a lot more upside. Will result in cost savings for Cdn smelters. Currently Cdn smelters are importing metalurgical alumina;buying from Orbite can save up to $150/ton transportaion. Metalurgical alumina costs about $400/ton currently. Looking to expand pure alumina plant (pure alumina sells for about $400 thousand a ton) from 1 ton per day to 5.

Have clays in Quebec, which is not their main focus where they have just announced rare earths and Scandium. Have a revolutionary production of alumina, which is normally taken from bauxite. Potentially very exciting.

Found a proprietary way to extract alumina from clay stone, which they patented. This will reduce costs by about 50%. Will also be able to produce high purity alumina with margins at about 90%.
