Recently it spiked as they announced ramping up the number of phones they can produce in China. Profit margins are obscene and they are gushing free cash and buying back stock. Continue to buy on pull backs.

Survives quite well in a lower interest rate environment, with its strong organic growth. Doesn't think the drawdown in yields will last. In general, tech will struggle if rates go higher. Cash generation remains dominant. Hold it, don't sell.

Yes, there's room to run with Apple, but it isn't a cheap stock. Earnings come at the end of this month, and Apple tends to run up 1.5-2% before earnings. If you're doing a short-term trade, but cautious. She's not sure if we'll see record earnings in Q2 as we did in Q1, but assumes earnings will still be strong. It's a great stock over time. In general, she's a long-term investor in stocks with long growth potential, so you don't need to worry about volatility.

He prefers FB, NFLX, MSFT and GOOG. It will do fine. A good company, but their growth is based on margins they can charge on their products. 5-year earnings growth is 8-9%, but revenue growth is around 4%, and this is less than other FANG names.

He gets a lot of questions about selling at market peak. Also at peak are the economy and U.S. earnings. Trades at 25x earnings, which is a premium at the market, but Apple is growing faster than the market, so the 25x is justified. This won't always shine in the sun, though; it will take breaks. But don't give up on Apple, because it will resume its rise as long as its fundamentals are intact. Look at revenue growth and cash flow growth, not just share price movement.

A phenomenal company, but there are two risks: valuation at 24x forward earnings, which is in-line for a software company, not hardware; and its product mix (50% of revenues from their handsets). The 5G upgrade cycle will likely drive Apple's growth for the medium term. If you believe in this, buy on pullback, but everyone knows this 5G upgrade cycle is coming, so there may not be a pullback.

Cynics on Wall St. don't care about Apple's non-phone new products, but one analyst at Morgan Stanley sees strong upside for the Mac and iPad that could be gold standard for the new hybrid workforce. The rise of remote work is a Trojan Horse that gets the Mac back in the workplace so that it could become a serious threat to Dell and HP because people are spending so much time at home. Unlike the one-off consumer tech market, the enterprise business is a lot stickier and he expects Apple will get a bigger slice of this pie. For years, Apple has been dismissed as a one-trick pony, but Apple will be much more than its phone--wearables, computers and their service business.

Continues to like it. The business is great and has performed well. The installation basis is round 1.5B devices and consumer stickiness is still very high. People want to stay in the eco-system and it has a strong brand. Integration is good too. 5G will be a tailwind for renewing iPhones for consumers. Growth will come from the service side and wearables.

Has owned this for 15 years, so he's happy with it. But every morning he asks, What is the future of this stock? Is capital employed the best way for the future? Apple has a tremendous franchise built in of at least 1.3 billion devices worldwide and 93% consumer brand loyalty. Add to that we're heading into a 5G world, so there will be a massive rollover of product adoption (old phones can't work on 5G). For Apple, some of the future is priced in, though only partially, based on the PE.

Biden's increase in tax will affect tech companies. The problem with tech companies is that they almost pay no taxes. We are getting to a point where governments will be looking for tax dollars to pay down the tax. The likelihood of big tech paying more taxes is increasing. Ireland has been chasing after Apple for a while. There are a number of lawsuits targeting big tech. The risk is still under played. There is value in Apple but their struggle is to find the next product.

An essential 5G play They just launched a new iPhone in October that can run on 5G. An obvious 5G play that is poised to capitalize on the rollout. An investment, not a trade. Apple is asking suppliers for 96 million units this year. The new phone is selling very well in China. Service revenue streams are growing ast and making Apple more than a products story. Biden warming up relations with China will help. AAPL is up 63% in the past year.

2020 was generous to FAANG, but the consenus is that the tech rally will moderate in 2021. Apple, however, may be an exception. Late in 2020, it announced it was getting into the microchip, e-car battery and self-driving car businesses, though it may be three more years till they enter the latter. The news propelled Apple up 7.81% in December 2020 alone.

AAPL vs. GOOG Alphabet is a more reasonable valuation, so he'd choose this to deploy capital right now. He still really likes Apple, though it's not cheap. It's still about the ecosystem and luxury. He respects how good their products are. Beginning of a serious upgrade cycle with 5G. He's dubious of the iCar, as it's lower margin, tough business, capitally intense.

APPL vs. MSFT Apple is a consumer products company, whereas MSFT is an enterprise company. Both trade at similar multiples. Great balance sheets, buy back shares, increase dividends. Apple relies on growing iPhone and 5G. Will continue to do well. The iCar is an expensive proposition. MSFT has really benefited from cloud infrastructure growth. Better margins and free cashflow growth are ahead. MSFT is in a sweet spot and may have better growth in the next little while, so he'd choose it.

The company just announced that it targets 2024 to produce its own self-driving car, thereby muscling into Elon Musk’s territory. Literally fueling this vehicle will be Apple’s own “next level” battery. Similarly, Apple is boosting its game in semiconductors, which is sending Nvidia and Intel shares down. A upgrade today helped lift the stock. A satisfed customer base will keep this stock going. He disagrees with Wall St. that Apple is overvalued now. Consider Apple's enormous overseas' earnings during a weak US dollar--a big tailwind. Third, the Apple Watch owns that space. Fourth, under Biden there won't be a worry of a Chinese boycott of Apple products.

Can Apple be more misunderstood? Yesterday, they introduced three new Macbooks, and that they'll be making their own processors to extend battery life to 18 hours. He loves their new companies, is amazed by this new battery. They make quality computers, and PCs are a hot product now. Also, the new iPhone 12 offers a marvelous phone and it's compatible with the forthcoming 5G network. Yes, Apple's PE has risen, but the company is not only a product/gadget company, but it offers a serious service stream or a consumer packaged goods company with recurring revenue. At 30x earnings, Apple is only a little more expensive than Colgate or P&G. Compare it to Costco for its recurring revenue stream (Costco trades at 38x earnings). Apple is up 82% YTD, yet has more room to run. The new president won't be hostile towards China, which benefits Apple.
