Leading manufacturer/distributor of high quality vitamins/supplements, mostly sold through practitioners in US and Europe. Recently acquired a Canadian company. Growing business and now in health food stores in North America. One question is in their European operations with their product Robenzein (?), which is being transitioned from a drug to a food product where sales are off a bit but should start ramping up again.

It is the leading company in Europe and N.A. in high quality vitamin and supplement business. It is the consolidator, slowly buying up companies, supplying practitioners. Well run company, earnings outlook is good. As population ages, more people are going to naturopaths. Doesn’t expect a dividend for a long time. It’s keeping cash for acquisitions. Their history is excellent for acquisitions.

(A Top Pick Nov 19/07. Down 47%.) Food supplements but will people spend money on this in a recession? Last quarter was good indicating they have not got hit yet. Generates a lot of free cash flow. Most of their sales are in Europe and US so they benefit from the lower Cdn$. Stock is cheap.
