Going through long-term expansion after buying Wind Mobile assets. Don't expect a dividend increase soon. Instead, maybe buy the other communications stocks, but longer term Shaw looks promising as they grow their business.

The employees make 130 to 140K so it seems a lot for an early retirement. It is reflected in the stock. You may be able to see beyond the bumps but it holds it back. He does not see much in the telecom space. He has lightened up in the entire group.

Very well-run company. He thinks there is a lot of hidden value in this company. The next generation of the internet he thinks is going to benefit them.

He likes the acquisitions they made. These businesses take a long time to start to really generate free cash flow. He does not expect huge things in the next few quarters. With a 1 to 3 year outlook, they will start to generate a lot more free cash flow. The will start to pay a lot more dividend and you will start to see a lift in the multiple. The $25-$28 range will make a fair entry point.

A media company that is building out their wireless platform, particularly in Western Canada. Doesn't feel any compelling reason to Buy this. Would rather own one of the national carriers. Dividend yield of about 4%.

T-T vs. RCI.B-T vs. SJR.B-T. He sold T-T last year because of tepid growth and valuation at the top of its range. He sold it to make way for a more cyclical investment. RCI.B-T is the strongest of the telcos. The whole space is expensive.

Sell this and buy back Bell Canada (BCE-T) that she sold? BCE is a solid company and pays a good dividend and has a good track record of growth. The sector was affected by the Bank of Canada unexpectedly raising interest rates, and the more defensive types of companies pulled back. They are both good companies, but there is probably more growth potential in BCE at this time. You could also look at Telus (T-T), in that you get a little bit of Shaw and it is more a Western Canadian domiciled type of company, giving you a little more growth potential then you have with Shaw.

It has all kinds of good things going for them. This is all known by the market and so is reflected in the price. It is a hold for him. If a wireless pricing war started it would hurt them.

It has a 4.3% dividend. After buying Wind they are now into wireless. They have to invest in their cellular network and especially as the new AAPL-Q phone is introduced this year. He is looking at it.

It is a little growthier. It is an area that is more difficult. He would prefer Shaw for the slightly better growth, but he owns none of the Canadian telecoms.

(Top Pick June 9/16, Up 17.07%) They bought into Wind and so are getting into the wireless industry and that is positive. They can take advantage of the upcoming spectrum auction at a preferred rate. There could be a joint venture with RCI.B-T eventually for infrastructure.

There are better cable companies, but he likes this one. Most people should own those types of names. He prefers the metrics of CCA-T.

Probably a decent buy right now. He’s been looking at this very carefully for the last 6 months, waiting for the right moment. You have to track their subscriber losses. They are locked in a battle in Western Canada with Telus (T-T), and are having to reinvest a lot of capital into getting the Wind Mobile Sutherland network up to snuff. A good investment for a long-term. You are getting a good yield while waiting for things to stabilize.
