Juniors.  Are not his favourite space.  You have to know the stories and an insider.  He can’t add a lot of value.

Based on broad based hedge fund index. They are all under performing this year. Will do well in a bearish environment for stocks. Just came out this year and is flat. It's a good defensive thing. But if you are bullish, stay away from it.

Should be long term hold, or in and out? Depends on the person and their risk vs reward. Banks are a great long term investment.  He thinks it will pull back as the US banks gain, so for his clients he would take some profits, but not all. If you wanted to stay and get the dividends, ZWB gives slightly higher yields, but equal exposure to all the banks.

With any technical indicator, they work 55% of the time. You have to build your technical tool box but understand they wont work all the time. When equities start to perform better than the bullion, this is typically a bullish signal. More money is starting to feed into the stocks.

2006-11-02 WEAK BUY Must be logged in to use chart ABH-T (Dead) AbitibiBowater Inc. Levered to the Cdn$ which has recently lost a lot of bullish momentum. Nice base has formed. It has continually made new bases through the years and then failed. From a trading perspective, if it makes a new low, you’ll have to Stop out. If Cdn$ stabilizes it should be able to get near its October’s highs. Treat as a trade.

2003-09-15 WEAK BUY Must be logged in to use chart AGU-T Agrium Has a very strong resistance level just above the $18 mark. Look for a bit of the pull back, but could reach $20/21. A cyclical stock so should be bought at the bottom of the cycles and sold at the top.

2005-05-11 WEAK BUY Must be logged in to use chart AL-T (Dead) Alcan Aluminum Drawing a chart back a couple of years there is big support at about $35. Can't rule out a dip down to $35. For a long term view, 2/3/4/5 years, the $35/40 area would be of great interest to start buying. Short term risks are still there.

The jury is still out.  Ultimately the too-big-fail-banks will have challenges.  There will be big run ups and then pullbacks.  You want to buy them on pullbacks.  It will be with more volatility than in the past couple of years.

There seems to be some uncertainly.  Chen thinks they can make it as a product builder, but also in other areas.  There is a risk they don’t execute well.  Their products are very, very good, but the business market may not do well.  It is not a turnaround story any time soon.  It is at the bottom of the range so consider accumulating it.

Media is huge going forward.  We will probably not see the growth over the next few years so it is about the yield.  It is a fine holding to accumulate when it pulls back.

Analysts seem to be generally positive after the earnings announcement.  They have been lagging because of not passing the stress test.   This stock has not recovered nearly as well as many of the others.  He just took an initial position of ZUB-T.  As we correct over the next number of months he will accumulate.

My preferrers have come down substantially as a result of lowered bank rates, I believe. Shouldn't an instrument with a fixed rate go UP when bank rates are lowered?
